Can the NARS-2 be used as an alternative (to the CRS-PB) in a Profibus-DP application?

Yes, it is possible and convenient if you need a screw terminal for connecting the open wires.
One thing to notice with Siemens PLC's is that A and B lines are crossed. If you use Profibus cable we have available, practically it is just plug and play with Siemens PLCs.
