General Features
SATELLINE-3AS-PT is a member of the versatile SATELLINE-3AS radio modem family. It is a half duplex radio modem operating on the UHF band packed in a light-weight aluminium enclosure. It is intended to be integrated in customer devices, for example RTK systems.
The circuit blocks of SATELLINE-3AS-PT are identical to the corresponding blocks in SATELLINE-3AS radio modem. Thereby, the same operational features, except RS422/485 serial interface, are available.
The differences to SATELLINE-3AS radio modem are:
1. SATELLINE-3AS-PT has a different metal enclosure made of sheet aluminium.
2. The antenna connector is a female MMCX connector instead of TNC .
3. The antenna circuitry of the radio module includes additional filtration on GPS frequencies in order to avoid any possible interference to the GPS receivers that are used in the integrated RTK systems.
4. SATELLINE-3AS-PT does not have any LED indicators, an LCD display, or push buttons.
5. The pinout of the 15 pin D connector is partially different from a standard SATELLINE-3AS(d) radio modem because the physical interface of the secondary serial port is LV-TTL (low voltage TTL) instead of RS232/422/485.
6. The location and the gender of 15 pin D connector are different: the male connector stands out of the lid of the enclosure.
7. The operating voltage range is extended to +6.3...+30VDC from +9...+30VDC.
Technical Specifications
SATELLINE-3AS-PT radio modem shall comply with the following international standards:
• ETS 300 113 and EN 300 220-1 (radio requirements) • EN 301 489 (EMC-requirements). • FCC Part 90
