This is the advice from Satel regarding 1870s
If we assume, that we can utilize the whole frequency band --> channel separation is 250 kHz, and we need all the sensitivity we can get to receive a weak signal, we should mount the antennas on top of each other (in a mast) and there should be appr. 5 m empty space between the antennas. The isolation between the antennas can be increased by adding the grounding plate underneath the antennas. The grounding plate radius should be appr. similar to antenna length.
The required distance in SATELLINE-1870 case is a bit longer than SATELLINE-3AS models due to its weaker transceiver performance.
