The SATELLINE-2ASc is a small and light-weight radio modem used for a variety of applications involving half- duplex transfer of data messages. It features a synthesized radio, operating in the 400... 470 MHz frequency range. The frequency band in use is the center frequency +/- 1 MHz, which means that the number of possible radio channels is 80. SATELLINE-2ASc is compatible with interface type RS-232 which facilitates easy connection to various data terminals and systems.
In the Programming Mode the parameters and functions, frequency, character length and RTS/CTS set up ON/OFF, are conveniently set from a computer via the RS-232 interface.
With two SATELLINE-2ASc radio modems, or a SATELLINE-2ASc and a SATELLINE-2AS (or SATELLINE-1AS) radio modem, a point-to-point connection can easily be set up. The radio modem also lends itself perfectly to a radio communication systems that involves several substations operating on the same radio channel.
